Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel

Lovely roof terrace with views of Blue Mosque and Bosphorus Strait (and Asia on the other side). Good location in old town. Lots of traditional Turkish charm. Turkish breakfast buffet with huge frame of honeycomb!

The Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel offers an outstanding experience starting with an excellent breakfast served on the rooftop with stunning views of the Bosporus that set the perfect tone for exploring this historic city. The rooms feature large comfortable beds and beautiful decor while maintaining impeccable cleanliness throughout, and the hotel's location provides easy access to Istanbul's main attractions in the Old City. The restaurant food is truly exceptional, making it a pleasure to dine on-site and enjoy the culinary excellence alongside the breathtaking setting.

Great location near all the main attractions and public transport. The hotel is a bit older but with old world charm and great care has been taken in maintaining everything. Our room was room was very clean and comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised by the view of the sea and the old city walls. Breakfast is served on one of the terraces with all the typical offering of a turkish breakfast (this terrace becomes a restaurant at nigh with live music at night). We enjoyed the complementary tea offered at night on the opposite terrace which offers a spectacular view of sultanahmet. There was one night with a neighboring building playing very loud club music and we called downstairs to see if anything could be done. We were very grateful and surprised by how quickly the issue got resolved by the security staff. This place is a steal for the price, location and quality offered.

Excellent Location: The hotel's proximity to Istanbul's top landmarks, including the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, made it a fantastic choice for exploring the city's rich history. Friendly and Helpful Staff: The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, always welcoming and ready to assist. Clean and Comfortable Rooms: Our room was spotless and provided a cozy and relaxing environment after long days of sightseeing. Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast spread was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day, offering a mix of traditional and continental options.

The breakfast was the best we've had in all of Turkey! The view from the breakfast dinning room is amazing, the Sea of one side, the Hagia Sofia and the Blue mosque on the other. We had an early morning departure and requested a breakfast "box". Instead of provided us a box with dried food, they provided us with an early morning plate with a delicious selection from their buffet! There is an amazing view from the roof top terrace especially of the Sultanahmet/Blue mosque and the Sea. The outdoor roof top terrace is open to all guests even if you are not going to order any drinks, so definitely pop up there in the evening when the Blue mosque is all lit. The staff at the front desk are very nice, accommodating, and willing to be helpful. We needed an extra blanket, we needed an early breakfast, we needed some material printed, in each case they were very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
